Law Firm Gunderson Dettmer Leases 45,000 SF at Nomad Tower

NEW YORK CITY— Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian LLP has inked a 15-year lease with Eyal Ofer’s Global Holdings Management Group for 44,718 square feet at 1250 Broadway. The technology law firm will take up three full stories, encompassing the 20th through the 22nd floors.

NoMad Tower signs TransPerfect as next major tenant

There’s nothing like $50 million in capital upgrades — and a hip new name — to put new life into a tired old office building.

NoMad Tower has landed its second major new tenant since it shed its old 1250 Broadway identity: translation services and tech firm TransPerfect. The company just signed a 15-year lease for 123,500 square feet and will move from 3 Park Ave.

It follows Zillow Group, which signed for 130,000 square feet in December.

NoMad Tower inks Zillow as first tenant

NoMad Tower, the transformed office address previously known as 1250 Broadway, has snared Zillow Group as its first new major tenant, Realty Check has learned.

The online residential real estate marketplace signed for 130,000 square feet on the eighth through 12th floors, sources said. That’s double what it now has at 130 Broadway, which it will leave for its new home next year.

Global Holdings’ 1250 Broadway becomes Nomad Tower

Eyal Ofer’s Global Holdings kicked off the rebranding of its $565 million building at 1250 Broadway as the new “Nomad Tower” Thursday evening with a broker event to showcase the property.

“This has been a building that’s been a sleeper for decades and decades, since I started in the 80s,” said JLL’s Paul Glickman, who is leading the leasing team for an available block of 435,000 square feet with Mitch Konsker. “People kind of think of it one way and we want to reprogram that.”
